Event Timeline

  • Saturday 2nd December 2006
  • Before 11 pm Mark had dinner with friends in nearby Wapping1
  • 11 pm Mark returned to The George [Pub] at 11pm, where manager Nina Childerat-Stone described him as being “in high spirits – merry”.
  • Around 11.30 pm Mark left the pub after hearing about a party at the nearby home of Paul Roundhill, an acquaintance of Mr Blanco and a close friend of Doherty.
  • 12.13 am Mark arrived at Mr Roundhill’s flat, bottle of wine in hand. Mr Roundhill let him in, but he was by no means given a warm welcome. Time confirmed by CCTV footage.
  • 12.15 am Pete Doherty and Kate Russell-Pavier arrive at Paul Roundhill’s flat. Time confirmed by CCTV footage.
  • 12.25 am Mark was forced out of the flat2
  • 12.27 am A security camera showed Mark re-entering the block3
  • 12.29 am CCTV footage shows Mark falling from balcony.4 Unfortunately there is only a partial view and events on balcony can not be observed.
  • 12.43 am London Ambulance Service received the 999 call5
  • 12.50 am Pete Doherty and Kate Russell-Pavier leave before Ambulance arrive. Time confirmed by CCTV footage.
  • 12.57 am Ambulance arrived at the scene.6
  • 1.00 am Police were called to the scene, by the ambulance staff
  • 1.17 am Mark arrived at the hospital7
  • 2.25 am Police called by staff at Malmaison hotel in Clerkenwell, East London to deal with Doherty. He had “disrupted a wedding party, set off the fire alarm, destroyed hotel property and started a fist fight in the bar.” Again Pete Doherty fled before police arrived.8
  • Monday 4th December 2006
  • Early hours of morning Mark died.9
