The Sunday Express has published the CCTV analysis video of Mark Blanco’s fall from the balcony.

Dr Corrina Cory, expert in Injury Biomechanics continued experiments from the findings of her preliminary feasiblity study into how Mark fell. You can see these results on the video linked above. She worked on the two scenarios concluded by the HSCC investigation in November 2008:

Scenario 1 : CRIMINAL ACT
– Mark Blanco fell as a result of a criminal act of another or others.

Scenario 2 : MISADVENTURE – Mark Blanco jumped deliberately but did not intend to harm himself to any degree.

Dr. Cory worked with sophisticated scanning, 3-D modelling, the original CCTV and human modelling simulations. Her findings were passed to Professor Wassersug, world expert in Neurobiology and Anatomy. His report concludes:

“Given the nature of his (Mark’s) injuries, the two most likely explanations are that he was backed into the railing and pushed over, or that he was not conscious, and was dropped over the railing.”

As stated in Dr. Cory’s notes, the body models were overlaid for the frames of the CCTV that were the clearest. The position of Mark by the lamp post was not stated to be his final resting place. Mark’s feet ended up nearest the lamp post, as stated by several witnesses.

“We have now moved this case from suicide or accident to unlawful killing,” Michael Wolkind QC. Legal representative of Sheila Blanco, Mark’s mother.

The Met. have not yet responded to these reports.

  1. I’m sorry for your loss. I saw a video on sky news today and I found the whole thing very odd and unsettling. It strikes me that if he jumped by himself in mid air his instincts would take over and there would be some correction. A limb, be it arm or leg would scramble to protect the body but there is no movement. It reminded me of when me and my mates used to do home movies and we would make up life sized puppets and throw them out of our house window. The puppet just falls and hits the ground it has no incline of saftey. The video suggests the same which could mean he was not awake. If he was pushed his body would arch and his legs and feet would be above his head and then he would fall straight down even brushing the side of the building and then land right in front of the door yet he was beside the car and the lamp post which suggests propulsion. If he wasn’t awake and their was some from of throw it would have to be more than one person. Doesn’t matter how strong you are you can’t throw a limp body as far as that by yourself. There would have to be more. The way he came in to the shot of the cctv remind me of how you would throw a heavy object away, like a few people would hold a rolled up carpet or rug, one behind the other then in a unified sway get momentum and then throw. The whole thing is very upsetting and I am sure you have plenty of experts looking at this, but I thought I would comment on what I thought.
Again I am sorry for your loss and I hope you will find the truth and get justice and peace.
    Your sincerely Ross.

  2. I rarely drop responses, but i did some searching and wound up here Mark Blanco CCTV Analysis Released Justice For Mark Blanco. And I do have a couple of questions for you if it’s allright. Is it only me or does it give the impression like some of the responses look like they are left by brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are posting on other social sites, I’d like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you make a list of the complete urls of all your public pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

  3. Upon noticing that there is a car there, my thinking is that a scuffle broke out. Perhaps Mr. Blanco was knocked unconscious. Then, for some reason, I have a feeling that several people may have thought it would be funny to throw him off the balcony onto the top of the car which they may have thought would soften the fall. Upon throwing his body, they did not have the strength to throw him as far as they thought they could. Instead, he fell to the sidewalk. But that still doesn’t explain why his glasses were still on. If there was a struggle, why would his glasses end up on the street, unless they were put there afterwards. They should have been checked for fingerprints on the frame from any person other than his own. That would have provided a lot of evidence right there. Sadly, the police seem to have botched this investigation.
